Xiaomi may open the champagne – last week’s poll showed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be one of the best smartphones of 2024, even though it’s early in the year. Good thing the Ultra flagship is launching globally, unlike the Pro.
Looking at the results, a third of the voters are now ready to buy it and (if they are in Europe) they can do so because the phone is available in Xiaomi’s online stores.
However, some have to be more confident and wait for the reviews to come out. We have a hands-on review with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra to take a closer look at the flagship, and we’ll have a full review down the line.
Half of the voters have been cast so far, let’s take a look at the other half. Unfortunately and predictably, the Ultra’s €1,500 starting price is out of reach for many – a third of voters won’t spend that much on a phone, no matter how good it is.
That leaves only 20% of voters who don’t like Ultra. For some, this is a mild improvement over the Xiaomi 13 Ultra from last year. There are a few 13 Ultra units left in stores, so you can try to get one, however, these days are harder to find than ever. Of course, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will also come down in price over time.
