Redmi starts teasing the K70E, it will have the Dimensity 8300 on board

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi today started teasing the upcoming Redmi K70E smartphone, which is now confirmed to arrive by the end of the month alongside the K70 and K70 Pro. As always, the K series is Redmi’s highest-end.

This time, the K70E is confirmed to be powered by the newly unveiled MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC. The word comes straight from Redmi’s official teaser, so there’s no denying it.

It’s not the 8300, though, it’s the 8300-Ultra. What that “ultra” means is, for now, anyone’s guess. Sometimes in such cases it is little more than a branding exercise, other times a little more significant change, only time will tell.

We’ve previously seen the K70 in a benchmark with the same chipset. Highlighting the performance of the Redmi K70E, it revealed that a prototype scored 1,526,328 points on AnTuTu.

Moreover, after nearly an hour of gaming in “an open-world game” at 25 degrees Celsius, the phone still managed 58.86 FPS. It clearly seems geared towards avid gamers who can’t afford Xiaomi’s flagship line.

It’s 2023, the new phone won’t be immune to the dangers of AI and will actually have generative AI on board to help you create sentences and photos based on real-time closed captions as well as prompts.
