OnePlus Buds 3 promise dual drivers, flagship sound quality

OnePlus 4 is launching Buds 3 alongside the Ace 3 smartphone in January The design of the TWS earphones was leaked earlier this year, and now we can confirm that the leak was correct – the Buds 3 will look a lot like the Buds Pro 2.

The new audio wearable claims to deliver flagship-level audio quality for dual drivers. OnePlus even posted a graph claiming that the Buds 3 will outperform an unnamed competitor across five key aspects.

The dual-design solution has been part of the Buds Pro lineup, and now non-pros are getting it too. It will also feature next-gen noise cancellation to deliver better audio and call quality. At the same time, the buds and the case do not seem to be anything new or revolutionary in terms of design.

The OnePlus Buds 3 scores almost perfect across the board – 4.7 for bass, 4.8 for clarity, timbre and vocals, and 4.6 for spatial sound. It averages 4.74 out of 5, but let’s remember these tests were done at OnePlus Labs and ratings mean nothing without some meaningful context.

The company has already opened reservations, which sends a notification to everyone on Wednesday when the product drops, and that’s when people can pre-order the OnePlus Buds 3.
